The company grew quickly as the staff started successfully building the units reputations as an innovative leading supplier of products in the construction industry. One of Buildexs first triumphs was the development of the first hex head self-drilling fastener for attaching metal sheeting to roofs and sidewalls on commercial buildings. Our commitment to research and development has taken the company through three decades of continuous growth by meeting the industries ever-changing needs. Continued growth prompted the move in 1984 to Buildexs current facility in Itasca, Illinois. Buildex employs over 170 people with facilities in Itasca, Roselle and Elgin, IL.
