Headquartered in a 45,000 square foot facility in San Diego, California, MBP has over 300 employees worldwide. Located in the Sorrento Valley area, the main MBP facility houses 73 injection molding machines that produce over 3,000,000 parts per day, and is the home of Engineering, Customer Service, Marketing, Logistics Management and Executive Management. The ISO 2000 certified manufacturing group uses Statistical Process Control, Statistical Quality Control, Automation and other cutting edge technology to produce the highest quality pipet tips and racks in the world. Process Control, TQM and rigorous inspection and testing are a few of the many tools used to ensure the timely delivery of quality products to our customers. A 35,000 square foot assembly facility located in Tijuana, Mexico handles automated assembly of MBPs products. This facility (also ISO 2000 certified) employs over 200 people and uses Statistical Quality Control to further ensure the quality level MBPs customers expect. Detailed incoming inspections, line clearances and finished product inspections are among the documented procedures used to assemble and package our products. Located in Otay Mesa, just north of the Mexican Border, is MBPs 37,000 square foot main distribution center, which employs 10 people. This site also falls under our ISO certification and utilizes our MRP software (integrated with the manufacturing and assembly facility) for timely delivery to our distributor base. Finally, a 20,000 square foot contracted warehouse located in Rotterdam, in The Netherlands, is the shipping point to Europe for a majority of our products. This warehouse is stocked with MBPs quickest moving products and can be delivered to most major European cities in under four days.
