The CM legislation was adopted late July 2010 and enabling regulations promulgated on August 22" , 2012, the first specialized disclosure report must be filed with the SEC no later than May 31, 2014, covering the calendar year of 2013. In compliance with the regulation, Regals Conflict Minerals compliance program was implemented on January 1, 2013. Regal Electronics Sunnyvale, CA facility does not purchase directly any of the materials in question, gold (Au), tin (Sn), tantalum (Ta) or tungsten (W). Suppliers to Regal are required to commit to being or becoming "conflict-free" (which means that such supplier does not source conflict minerals) and sourcing only from conflict-free smelters, and documenting countries of origin for the tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold that it purchases.
