Almeria Proving Ground Your off road tires undergo rigorous evaluation before they ever operate on your earth moving equipment. Thats because Michelin is the only tire manufacturer with a dedicated earthmover proving ground. Located in Almeria, Spain, tires are subjected to working conditions more severe than the ones you face in your application. The MICHELIN proving ground consists of 9,000 acres with 50 miles (80 km) of test tracks. Using 30 earthmover machines, we average over 1,860,000 miles (3,000,000 km) each year testing MICHELIN earthmover tires.
