We have grown to include offices in Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Norway, Italy, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and U.S.A. Founders and History Mr. Svante Littmarck and Mr. Farhad Saeidi founded the company in 1986. Svante Littmarck is the CEO of the COMSOL Group and the President and CEO of COMSOL, Inc. In 1998 we published the first version of our flagship product, COMSOL Multiphysics® (initially called FEMLAB®). In subsequent years, our product line was expanded to include a suite of discipline-specific add-on modules for Structural Mechanics, Chemical Engineering, Hi and Low Frequency Electromagnetics, Heat Transfer, MEMS, Earth Science, Acoustics, and more. We also added modules for importing and exporting CAD drawings and a Material Properties Library to simplify modeling and simulation real world phenomena.
