Williams in 1965. Since its beginning, the Company has been recognized as one of the leading manufacturers of pneumatic metering pumps and chemical injection systems. The Company has recently expanded its market to include electric metering pumps to meet additional customers needs. The Companys reputation, built on quality, accuracy, reliability and safety, has created high standards in all industries. From a modern manufacturing facility located in Valencia, California, Williams supplied products to customers worldwide through a network of authorized distributors and regional sales offices. The Williams commitment to providing the highest quality products continues to be supported by marketing and engineering staff educated to servicing the customers requirements. The Williams organization welcomes your inquiries and invites you to discuss your specific applications. OIL & GAS INDUSTRY APPLICATIONS The Williams pneumatic metering pumps are utilized in all industries to accurately control the injection of chemicals. The examples below illustrate only some of the typical fluid metering applications: OIL, REFINING & PETROCHEMICAL The metering of chemicals used in all phases of the production, processing, refining, transmission and distribution of oil and gas products. NATURAL GAS, LPG & LNG The metering of corrosion inhibitors for instrument protection, methanol to prevent freezing, and odorant injection for public safety. OFFSHORE INDUSTRY The metering of Oil and Gas corrosion inhibitors, emulsion breakers, oxygen scavengers, methanol injection and many others. EDITORIAL FOR WILLIAMS MILTON ROY Williams Instrument Incorporated was established in 1965 as a supplier of specialized equipment to the USA natural gas distribution industry. Williams revolutionized the natural gas distribution industry by developing a method for the positive injection of mercaptans, chemicals for introducing odor into natural gas. Prior to the use of positive injection, the gas industry used the inaccurate bypass method of odorizing natural gas. The Williams design approach introduced precision and increased safety in an industry that requires a very high level of safety because the public is the customer. Our positive injection device for the injection of mercaptans was a metering pump that for safety reasons would use gas or pneumatics for power. We quickly recognized the benefits of using a pneumatic pump for chemical injection in hazardous or explosion-proof environments. As a result, we developed a complete line of gas or pneumatically driven pumps for both the oil & gas production and the oil & gas refining and processing industries. In addition to the inherent explosion-proof feature pneumatics provides, it also enabled us to simplify the design. It is this feature that has helped our pneumatically driven pumps expand their applicability and become accepted in the general Chemical Process Industry. Our corporate goal is to become the premier company for fluid metering in the world. We are continuing to replace old products with up-to-date technology, and to expand our product offering to include the use of automation and self-diagnosis. Williams, now a part of the Milton Roy family of companies, is currently the leading supplier of pneumatically-driven metering pumps for the global oil & gas industry. Our metering pumps and related products have become a standard with most of the worlds oil & gas companies. Our products are sold in approximately 40 countries. Williams unique designs offer a combination of reliability and simplicity. Both of these features translate into cost savings for our customers.
