Technology ToteVisions line of LCD color monitors offer the latest in liquid crystal display technology. One strong advantage of these monitors is their bright crisp picture even when viewing the screen from the side. Another advantage is that they use much less power and generate much less heat than CRT monitors, and they emit no x-radiation. Innovation + Risk = ToteVision Success Bill Taraday was a dentist who had built a successful private practice, but he had an entrepreneurial spirit that wasn’t being satisfied. In assessing opportunities while attending a tradeshow in 1981, he came upon the realization that there was a market for small black and white TVs in the time-share industry and thus, ToteVision was created to meet this need. Upon his initial achievement, he started developing close relationships with a few factories, and carefully targeted a variety of markets with the right products at the right price. Over the next 28 years, Bill and his team spent endless hours inventing new products, applying new technologies and forming strategic partnerships that would lead to ToteVision’s success. From video cassette players and fax machines to DVD players and flat screens, ToteVision has continually ridden the wave of electronic innovation. In 1985, the company broke new ground by introducing the 13” combination TV/VCR 11 years later, ToteVision introduced the 4” LCD battery operated, color monitor, and initiated the path that took the company to where it is today. In the mid-90s, Totevision started selling a monitor and multi-camera security system, which provided entry into the security/surveillance market and became one the company’s main business lines. Building on its roots as an industry pioneer, ToteVision manufactures commercial grade monitors and televisions to meet a wide variety of needs for multiple industries.
