We have been at the forefront of plate heat exchanger technology for more than 70 years, offering proprietary products and components for industrial and commercial applications around the world. Tranter has solved thousands of heat transfer problems in a variety of industries. Our complete engineering and manufacturing expertise brings you equipment that meets the highest standards of design excellence and quality workmanship. Our specialists stand ready to show you how Tranter heat transfer technology can provide efficient, cost-effective solutions to challenges arising from increased production and cost constraints. Tranter is part of a multinational engineering and manufacturing group specializing in energy management in the process industries, district heating and within the building envelope. Tranter strives to be the leader in the markets it serves by applying a simple philosophy: perceiving the customer’s real needs investing to maintain a competitive edge and asking customers to pay a fair price for the extra value added. From a position of strength as an industry leader on the North American continent for over 70 years, Tranter has introduced advanced manufacturing procedures into its plants in the US, Sweden and India, and has made a dramatic commitment to global expansion, diversification and leadership in plate heat exchanger technology. Manufacturing & Quality Tranter is ISO certified, adhering to the highest standards in designing, manufacturing and testing plate heat exchangers. Each heat exchanger solution is computer designed and analyzed by technical specialists who generate a complete proposal providing optimum designs and alternatives. Quotations are prepared on a timely basis with all technical information required for evaluation. Experienced craftsmen manufacture components and assemble units using advanced technology and fabrication techniques. Tranter can custom-design units with the precise number, size, material and configuration of plates to meet individual application needs. As needs change, many units can be easily modified by simply adding or removing plates. After assembly, each Tranter heat exchanger is hydrostatically tested at the required test pressures. A number of additional tests, including process simulation and fatigue tests, can be performed to guarantee a unit fills strict operational requirements. Capabilities Tranter can fabricate heat exchanger wetted parts out of virtually any mild or high alloy that can be worked. GTAW and GMAW welding processes are utilized on nozzles and end frames, respectively. Tranter plates can be formed in a one-hit process on a 22,000-ton press. Tranter is a certified holder of the ASME U-stamp and is a member of HTRI, ARI and ASHRAE.
