Company History Wildfire is the leader in wildland and urban interface firefighting equipment and is well known worldwide. We have been involved in manufacturing and distributing a complete selection of fire fighting equipment since 1898. The company has made a name for itself in the field of high pressure, portable, lightweight fire pumps under the name of "Wajax" some 50 years ago. Best known for the Mark-3®, the benchmark in portable centrifugal pumps, Wildfire also manufactures: slip-ons, in line accessories, backpacks, forestry tools, portable water tanks, personnel protective equipment and other related products. We also distribute fire hose, foam, aqueous firefighting gel and much more. In February 2000, Tyco Fire and Security Services purchased Wildfire. The commitment of Tyco will ensure the continued growth and dedication to our present and future customer needs. With Wildfires ongoing commitment to the development of innovative products and servicing of its customers, it will continue to be recognized as the world market leader in wildland and urban interface fire equipment. Marketing Strategy Clearly, one of Wildfires objectives has been to develop long-term markets around the world. These efforts have met with considerable success in the United States, Chile, Argentina, Australia, Indonesia, Korea and Malaysia to name just a few. More recently our efforts in Southern Europe have met with growing success, with sales to forest fire services in France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece. Wildfire is the sole manufacturer in North America that produces complete systems from the water source to the fire. This is where our strength lies when servicing export markets. Our distribution network with branches in strategic locations throughout Canada and the United States and export agents in other international markets provide the after sales service which is of utmost importance in the fire service. Wildfire has considerable experience in mounting training seminars worldwide for both end users of the equipment and local distributors. These seminars include the application of the equipment for fire fighting situations, the recovery and maintenance of the equipment, as well as workshops on fire control in general.
