Dedication to quality and good management has helped PISA grow into an internationally accredited manufacturer with an impressive range of products. In early 2006 PISA was acquired by the ZODIAC Group, a listed company on a European Union Stock Exchange. Inside the Zodiac Group PISA belongs to the Parachute Protection Systems Division which includes Aerazur, Parachutes de France , Pioneer Aerospace Corporation / ATI Airlift Technologies International USA and now PISA. PISA is unique in that it manufactures products that cover the complete spectrum of parachute requirements. These products fall into four broad categories: 1. Personnel Parachutes that include static line troop parachutes for mass drops. These parachutes come in both non-steerable and steerable models. 2. Ram Air Gliding Parachutes used in both free fall (HALO / HAHO) and static line (HAHO) for tactical assault purposes commonly used by Special Forces troops. 3. Retardation, Deceleration, Munitions, Illumination flare, Aircraft Sub-System Parachutes , and Special End Use parachutes. 4. Sport Parachutes for recreational use and competitions. Stringent Quality Control Procedures are a key element in the design and manufacture of parachutes. PISA is an approved designed and supplier to the South African National Defence Force (Armscor Procurement). PISA is also an approved design authority and manufacturer of parachutes with the South African Civil Aviation Authority. PISA holds ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certification audited by TüV Rheinland Berlin-Brandenburg. A number of specific products hold United States FAA/TSO Certification. PISA military products hold NATO Codification with National Stock Number (NSN#) identification.
