The company, located in upper Austria, was established in 1994 from Victor Vasiloiu and Heinz Eisschiel. A primary goal was to develop linear and rotary encoders based on a new inductive scanning principle of operation, combining the high accuracy of the optoelectronic encoders with the robustness of the magnetic encoders. Our latest generation of products was released 2002, culminating years of research and development, with the introduction of our inductive micro-coil array sensor and related signal processing electronics, and this technology was registered with the AMOSIN® trademark name - as an original measuring method. The AMOSIN® brand is recognized for its unique performance in high accuracy, high speed, wide temperature range, dynamic industrial positioning applications that work even in tough environmental conditions. This basic technology has a large development potential and is the source of the wide variety of AMO products being offered, and our family of products continues to grow. Our products are well suited for the harsh environment of the machine tool industry and other related metalworking machinery, as well as medical, electronic and semiconductor production equipment, printing machines, to include serving the automotive and aerospace industries. To accommodate the rapid growth of the AMO products, our company moved into a new and larger facility in September 2007 in St. Peter am Hart, near Braunau am Inn. AMO has a worldwide distribution network made up of subsidiaries representatives, and distributors.
