KG". 2011: The com­pany cel­e­brates its 100th an­niver­sary. 2003: In­cor­po­ra­tion of the pro­duc­tion of sil­i­cone rub­ber com­pounds. 1998: Ini­tial cer­ti­fi­ca­tion of our com­pany in com­pli­ance with Qual­ity Man­age­ment Stan­dard DIN EN ISO 9001. 1990: Wulf Müller is ap­pointed Man­ag­ing Part­ner and runs the com­pany until his death in 2011. 1980er to 90er: Man­u­fac­ture of tech­ni­cal molded rub­ber prod­ucts for res­pi­ra­tion tech­nol­ogy, elec­tri­cal en­gi­neer­ing, med­ical tech­nol­ogy, and me­chan­i­cal en­gi­neer­ing. 1950er to 70er: These years are par­tic­u­larly shaped by the de­vel­op­ment and man­u­fac­ture of nearly all types of rub­ber. In the fol­low­ing decades we re­fine our prod­uct range as a re­sult of con­tin­u­ous mar­ket-ori­ented in­no­va­tions, which se­cure our high qual­ity stan­dards. 1967: Werner Müller, son-in-law of Robert Schmidt, is ap­pointed Man­ag­ing Part­ner and Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor after Schmidt’s death, where he re­mains until 1990. 1962: Wolf­gang Schmidt, son of Arthur Schmidt, joins the com­pany after train­ing at the Phoenix rub­ber works in Ham­burg-Har­burg and study abroad in Limo­ges/France, and is ap­pointed Joint Proxy in 1967. 1946: In­cor­po­ra­tion of the pro­duc­tion of print­ing ma­trixes and rub­ber stamps. By order of the British mil­i­tary au­thor­i­ties, the pro­duc­tion of con­doms is launched. As a sign of re­gional loy­alty and prox­im­ity to the Schwinge River, our brand is named: “SWING”. 1942: Arthur Schmidt passes away. Robert Schmidt, brother of the founder, is his suc­ces­sor. Con­ver­sion of the com­pany into a lim­ited part­ner­ship "Gebr. Schmidt Gum­mi­waren­fab­rik KG". 1930er and 40er: Ex­ten­sive de­vel­op­ment and pro­duc­tion of molded rub­ber parts. 1923: In­cor­po­ra­tion of the de­vel­op­ment and man­u­fac­ture of high-grade syn­thetic resins. 1922: Com­pany re­named "Schmidts Gum­mi­waren­fab­rik, Arthur Schmidt Ak­tienge­sellschaft". 1916: Re­lo­ca­tion to the com­pany premises in Freiburger Strasse. Start of pro­duc­tion of bi­cy­cle and au­to­mo­bile tires. 1911: Arthur Schmidt founds the vul­can­iz­ing works "Schmidts Gleitschutz­fab­rik und Dampfvulka­nisier­anstalt" in Stade, Nieder­sach­sen. He of­fers car and bi­cy­cle tire re­pairs at the Fis­chmarkt.
