In 1936 Walter Eckold founded the Eckold company in Wernigerode / Germany for producing forming machines for sheetmetal tubes and profiles. In 1948, after World War Two, he settled over in St. Andreasberg/Germany. In 1948, after World War Two, he settled over in St. Andreasberg/Germany. In 1963 his two sons Gerd-Juergen and Hartmut took over the company. Today the company is owned in third generation by the Eckold family. The result was, expanding the current Eckold GmbH & Co. KG factory and opening sister companies, Eckold AG in Switzerland and as a service provider, the Eckold Biegetechnik GmbH & Co. KG The Eckold Group world-wide currently employs more than 180 people.
