One of the first fields of application were microscopes stages, measurement stages and scanner stages for measurement and analysis. Precision applications in industry manufacture followed. We have managed to rid the stepping motors of all its negative attributes. Faster, less noisy operation, accurate positioning and a temperature rise that is not worth mentioning are key qualities of our stepping motor controls. To match future requirements we have developed a new controller concept: the integration of linear, stepping and servomotor con- trol into one device. This led to a cost effective solution for multi- axis applications. Since the year 2000 we offer complete mechanical systems for de- manding measurement tasks that are required in the industrial and semiconductor branches. ITK Dr. Kassen developed with the help of microsystem technology a high resolution, magnetic system of measurement for linear and rotational motions. In all of the ITK controllers the analysis of the sensor output is included. Looking at a problem from different angles Many products were developed based on standard and special con- figurations that are in use worldwide. Since 1997 ITK Dr. Kassen produces high resolution pathcontrollers for use in the demanding area of optical products: polish- and fining machines are that are equipped with our con- trollers produce precise optical lenses.
