The companie´s first headquarters was a farm in Gescher. But very soon it was clear that this area would not be sufficient. So already in 1996 TEKA moved to Velen. There a 6,000 qm large property was rented. But after some years also this area proofed itself as too small for the strongly expanding enterprise. At the beginning of 2003 the TEKA-management signed the sales contract for a 20,000 qm large area. From the middle of 2003 until the middle of 20006 production, storage and a part of the administration were accommodated at this site. In 2004 the manufacturing area was already extended by another 300 qm . In September 2006 also the departments located in the technology center moved into the new buildings. In order to present the product range to the national and international customers and for internal trainings for the TEKA staff a large communication and training centre was built in the nearby Borken-Weseke. In November 2008 the first events took place. Two conference rooms and a large permanent exhibition with all TEKA standard products (mobile and stationary) have been installed. So every visitor of the center can easily understand the variety of TEKA products. Since the establishment of TEKA the product range was constantly extended . The first products were suction and filter units for welding workshops. Today TEKA offers an extensive standard program of mobile (3 of them BGIA approved) and stationary filtering units and accessories. Also oil mist separators, high vacuum systems, cutting and welding benches, oxyacetelene cutting tables and central filter units belong to the delivery program. According to standard each equipment is available in different designs and sizes. But also individual solutions and the planning of large projects are no problem for TEKA. A large range of protective curtains and soundproofing elements is also available to complete the product programme for welding workshops. TEKA offers also devices for laser- or soldering jobs (e.g engraving, stamp-production, dental and medical technology, electronic industry, hospitals, dermatologists, restorers, hairdressers, laboratory technology). According to standard also these units are available in different sizes and designs. But also individual solutions are frequently realized. Since 2003 TEKA offers also solutions for large size printer (plotter) working with solvent inks. Suction and filter units for plotters were so far hardly used, since the exhaust of the pollutants developing particularly from these large size printers is very difficult. TEKA uses highly effective activated carbon, particularly sensitized to allow the maximum possible adsorption capacity. Since the foundation in 1995 TEKA increased from first 3 to in the meantime more than 100 employees. TEKA´s success is rooted in having motivated employees who identify with the company and products. To achieve this, TEKA sets great store by providing its employees with initial and supplementary training. All employees are given regular training aimed at keeping up with the latest trends in modern-day engineering. Particularly the Technology and Sales Department (in Germany and abroad) were strongly supplemented in the past years. A structured allocation of the sales areas, as well as close co-operation with considerable trading firms in Germany ensure that each customer receives optimum consultation. Very soon after its foundation TEKA began to contact distributors in other European countries. Since 1996 there exist close business connections to the Netherlands, since 1997 to Austria and since 1999 to Great Britain. Today TEKA co-operates successfully with large trading companies in nearly all Western European countries. In Poland, France and Spain own TEKA emplyees are working. A large assistance to the partners are TEKA brochures and price lists available in the respective national languages. Today TEKA also regularly supplies to north and Eastern Europe, into the USA, to Australia and Eastern Asia.
