One of the best known companies in the Mannheim-Ludwigshafen industrial area, it is steeped in tradition and looks back on 130 years of history. As an example to many others, the company history shows the highs and lows of a long past the development of the factory from 1863 was embedded in the German history of this period which was not exactly short of major changes. In addition, there were general economic crisis periods as well as the political catastrophes, and in particular economical difficulties demanding focussed action to ensure the company’s survival.
