HELION came into being in 2001, it was born from the desire of AREVA TA which specialises in naval propulsion, and which wished to develop complementary technology for nuclear propulsion: fuel cells. Initially the subject of research and development, the fuel cell now finds many varied market applications and HELION is today a major industrial player in high potential markets. Since its creation, HELION has enjoyed continuous growth in technological development and core competencies, as well as in its market applications. On the 1st of January 2007, HELION was attached to the Renewables business unit of the AREVA Group. Located in the Europôle Méditerranéen de l’Arbois in Aix-en-Provence, France, a business activity zone dedicated entirely to the environment. HELION is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified and is a classifed installation for the protection of the environment (ICPE) that cares for and respects all stakeholders.
