During a journey in the USA, he found out about the first safety work shoes and was the first to import the idea into France. Establishment of the Group Over the years the, Jallatte company continued to develop and build up its portfolio of brands: 1986: Simon-Jallatte partnership agreements and start of manufacturing operations in Japan. 1987: Majority shareholding in the A. LAFONT Group. 1990: Majority shareholding in the company Auda, French PVC leisure and safety boot manufacturers. 1998: Majority shareholding in CVC Capital Partners via the company Financière du Fort. 2000: Merger of the companies Jallatte and Almar via CVC Capital Partners. Establishment of a 200-million-euro European Group, with a 30% market share and a production of 11 million pairs. 2003: Redesign of all Jallattes models and launch of the new Jallatte collection. Segmentation of the offer according to 8 fields of activity. Launch of 3 new ranges of products: J-Escape™, Lightane™ and Trend. The Group currently manufactures and commercialises 4 brands of professional safety shoes and boots: Jallatte, Lupos™, Auda, Impact™.
