Since its origin, USIFROID has dedicated most of its activity to the design and manufacture of freeze-dryers and related equipment. The company was also interested in the development and application of specialist medical devices: in 1956, the first French artificial kidney was produced. Usifroid is specialised in particular in the in-depth area of lyophilisation of pharmaceutical and biotech products. Fortified by its experience of 60 years, our company is renowned for performance and quality of its machines. One of the leaders in this area, Usifroid exports 80% of its production from its modern factory near Paris and is represented in over 30 countries worldwide. Usifroid is a privately held company and all of our company’s activities are centered at our modern facility in Maurepas where about 100 people are employed. The factory has 2,500 m² of production floor shared in two buildings. Usifroid is proud that our company is currently being certified according to ISO9001:2000.
