Initially the company was an importer and representative of an Austrian manufacturer of installation materials. The delivery program consisted of rigid, impact resistant and flexible conduits, but also drainage pipes and plastic construction products. The Mepac® brand was introduced with a series of nail clips and clamps. The Canalit® brand was later established by Maskate with a range of cable ducts, air conditioning materials and wire conduits. The development of both brands took such proportions that the relationship with the Austrian manufacturer could be terminated. Maskate was originally located in Beverwijk. The foundation was laid in a small office with a desk and a phone, and using the landlords telex. After that, Maskate was located for a while in Amsterdam zuidoost. In 1988 the new site in Uithoorn was put into use. This is where the office and warehouse is located an external location is used for bulk storage. Today, Maskate is an organization with modern leadership. The company focuses on the development, production and marketing of products that are marketed under the Canalit and Mepac brand. Our products find their way to all wholesalers in the Netherlands and to importers in a number of countries. Our brands are always present on regional and international fairs.
