For half a century we’ve been visiting all sorts of gardens. We’ve laid on lawns and studied the grass. We’ve tested branches and examined the leaves on every type of tree. We’ve looked at the consistency of snow and ice. Then we sat down to think and sketch. The results have been lawnmowers, trimmers, chainsaws, garden tractors, blower vacs, hedge trimmers, snow blowers and cultivators. Once we are satisfied ourselves we let master gardeners and amateur gardeners try out our machines in every conceivable situation – on football pitches and allotments, in forest clearings and outside the woodshed. Only when everyone has given the thumbs-up do we add a machine to our range. We love gardening, and we know we’re not alone. It’s hardly surprising. While you’re raking the leaves from your lawn or trimming a hedge you’re also putting your thoughts in order. And even if you don’t love gardening, we want to make things as easy and convenient as possible for you.
