It is thanks to the observation of the founders of Tecalcos, after seeing the labour intensive printing in Swiss watch industry, that they started to automate the process. Their success assured them of a niche in the market as well as leading to further applications. The present Teca-Print AG was founded on 30/9/77 as a Limited Company and expanded in Thayngen as it acquired agencies on a worldwide basis. It was also then felt necessary to move some production into spacious new factory premises offered by F&L Bachmann of Tagerschen in the canton of Thurgau. Machines Dubuit SA, a french enterprise conducting business worldwide in the field of screenprinting - founded in 1932 - have acquired the complete set of Teca-Print AG shares in May of 2002. More than 450 employees are working at the Machines Dubuit SA group in France, Great Britain, Switzerland, Canada, Brazil, the United States and Thailand. In all fields of business and under the respective worldwide managements, Machines Dubuit SA manufacture themselves everything from single workpieces to fully assembled machines. That makes Machines Dubuit SA the sole supplier on the market today who can offer their customers global expertise on the best solutions in all fields of printing, no matter which object is to be printed on or which composition or shape it may have. Jean-Louis Dubuit, who is Machines Dubuit SAs General Manager, has been elected the new President of the Board of Directors of Teca-Print AG. As delegated by the board of directors, Carlos Huber has taken over as Teca-Prints managing director and will execute this new function together with his current function of the Director of Sales & Marketing. It has been decided to preserve the Thayngen production site. With four fully owned subsidiaries in the United States, Hungary, Germany and France, Teca-Print is one of the leading companies in the field of pad printing today.
