For decades, we have been supplying our customers with solutions for modern automobile technology. Our specialists in research and development, casting engineering, and in our customer teams, develop these solutions from the product concept, to its realization and management of series production. Every component is the product of a close collaborative dialogue between the customer and our research and development, casting, processing, and assembly specialists. Our foundries are pioneers in the use of new management systems in quality assurance and environmental protection. For decades, our customers have been relying on the high quality and reliability of our cast series parts for drive systems, chassis and bodywork. We provide an important contribution to mobility with these, and help make your car journey comfortable and safe. A true reflection of the company promise: Adding Quality to Peoples Lives. Technical progress has primarily dictated world affairs since the early 19th century this is particularly evident in the fields of telecommunications and vehicle construction. Today, this no longer means just keeping pace, but rather driving development itself forward with new impetuses. This demands a high degree of competence as well as innovative products and services. The research and development competence of GF Automotive is concentrated in Germany (Munich), Switzerland (Schaffhausen) and China (Suzhou). Approximately 50 employees are active in research and development. Approximately 3 % of turnover is devoted to R&D annually. The essential development activities are component design, computer-aided computation, analyses, and simulations, as well as the issues involved in economical production. Other essential R&D activities are alloy and process development as well as material and component testing.
