He started with two workers and himself, alternating shop work with his studies of Mechanical Engineering. With this decision, he followed the same path as many other of his predecessors, due to for more than 125 years (1874), each generation of Lleal family has brought new business men, specially in the metallurgic and ceramic industry 1965- Mr. Lleal motivated by his own ideas starts to manufacture his own products, very far from todays work, but always thinking in exporting them. Among many different products, he manufactures polishing machines for marble floors (PULMAX), an appliance that would seal garbage bags (SERNIK), molds for , textile machines and groups for machining as well as small production of specialized pieces, 1970- Introduces himself, creating the brand NOVOTECNIC, in the filtration of liquids for the metallurgic industry. 1974- We design our own precoat filters. In a short period it has patented 8 ideas. 1977- We design and build the first big central filtration system of hydrocyclons, with a flow of 6.000 l/min, and a capacity of 70.000 l. of emulsion. 1979- We expose our products in the 3rd. EMO of Milan. First sale to a German company of a precoat filtration system. 1981- We design and manufacture the first central precoat filtration system for grinding oil at 1,600 l/min for a factory that produces bolts. 1984- We design and manufacture the first central filtration pneumatic vacuum systems. (FIDE) With two possible filtration elements: - Endless nylon band. -Paper band. 1985- Installation of a central precoat filtration system FTD-40-DA30 for grinding oil. Flow 2000 l/min. 1988- We accomplishe a great goal. Moving to the newly build plant in Sta. Perpetua de Mogoda. Mr. Lleal, after many trips to Japan, signs a contract of representation. Sales start to come from this important market. 1990- We design and manufacture the first hydraulic vacuum filtration systems.. They are of hydraulic vacuum and can use the following as filtration element: a.- Without filtration element, with a screen of trapezoidal section b.- Paper band. c.- Endless nylon band. 1991- NOVOTECNIC designs, manufacturers and installs a group of Precoat Filters in Japan. The customer, OSG, makes male nuts in Yana. Total of 8 FTD 75 DA 67. Total flow: 36.000 l/min. Capacity : 560 m3 Probably one of the biggest in the world. 1992- Specific plan of R&D with an initial investment of 149.652,01€. Water filtration with 25% salt for electrochemical machining. 1993- Involvement in the project for high grinding capacity of ceramic components with the university of Kaiserlautern—Germany. Award for Accomplishment in Export by the Cambra de Comerç i Indústria de Sabadell. 1994- Involvement with the project of the Aachen university - Germany. NOVOTECNIC provided the design and manufacturing of a precoat filtration system for cutting oil, to be installed with a special cutting machine developed by the Italian firm Tachella Machine. The objective was to reach cutting velocities, with a CBN wheel, up to 220 meters/sec. Award Vallès - Industrial Excellence by the Cambra Oficial de Comerç i Indústria de Sabadell Award SEFES for the Linquistic Normalization of the Industrial World (Catalan Language). 1995- Award for the internationalization of the Catalan Economy—Generalitat de Catalunya. Total exports of the last 5 years reaches 82% of total sales .Half to Japan remaining to other EU countries. 1997- We are invited by the university of Bristol, England to the conference “advances of the grinding technologies" Two of our engineers talked about the correct filtration in the grinding processes. 1998- TÜV PRODUCT SERVICE GMBH certifies NOVOTECNIC conforms with the implementation of Quality controls according to the norm EN ISO 9001 07.94 2000- We start a new line making and designing "Cooling Equipment". We enlarge the factory space to a total of 6.600m2, in order to give better service to our clients. 2001- We design and manufacture a big precoat central filtration to filter refrigerant oil to 27 GROB centers for machinning aluminum gear boxes. Total flow: 12.500 l/min Total capacity: 300 m3 2002- KENFILT brand is registered in order to renew the company name. KENFILT - Novotecnic keeps getting closer to its customers by exposing in the most prestigious trade show like, BIEMH of Bilbao as well as JIMTOF02. 2003- We signed an agreement with the company CUTAHURST LMTD located in Irchester, Northands, Great Britain which also represents other prestegious brands like Ebay, Etxe-Tar, Gaindu, Geinsa, Irurak and MHG.
