It is specialized in the design and the manufacture of form, fill, seal machines for flexible packages, cartoners and case packers, with the ability to realize automated integral processes of packaging, from a loose state of the product up to its palletizing. 1979 - It begins its activity in the town of Santa Perpètua de Mogoda (Barcelona), specializing in the design and the manufacture of horizontal packagers of flat pouches for the food and pharmaceutical industry. 1982 - It develops the first intermittent cartoner for the automatic cartoning of pouches, turning into a recognized expert on the manipulation of flexible packages and their grouping in different presentations: Flat grouping, on edge, double grouping etc. 1989 - It acquires a Spanish company, a manufacturer of vertical baggers, and incorporates a new product line for flexible packages such as pillow bags, flat bottom and gable top bags, and complete square bags. 1995 - It acquires a Spanish company specialized in the manufacture of case packers, expanding in this way its product portfolio and offering its clients the possibility to automatize their lines from the filling up to the case packaging with the advantage to have the production line with the operation guarantee of a unique manufacturer. 1996 - Volpak is acquired by the Italian multinational group COESIA, happening to join one of the groups of the most important machinery manufacturers at international level. 2001 - Volpak acquires the company Enflex, specialized in the design and the manufacture of horizontal pouch machines and cartoners, well-known worldwide for the simplicity and reliability of its equipment of eminent mechanical design. With the new Enflex Division, Volpak consolidates even more its position of international leadership which it was already holding in the market of flexible packages. 2002 - The new building of a new productive plant which is also located in Santa Perpetua de Mogoda (Barcelona) is finished, with offices offering a productive surface of 13.000 m2. With this building the company gets ready to face up properly to the expansion plans of the next years. This year it is launching a new packager ULTRACLEAN for the dairy products, the first step of the new line for machines of hygienic packaging. 2005 - It presents the new ASEPTIC machine, the first and unique horizontal form fill and seal machine for doypack® pouches with top cap fitment operating in aseptic conditions, ever developed world wide. 2006 - Volpak expands its activity in China with the creation of Volpak Techgen Machineries Ltd., result of a joint venture, which is set up for the manufacture of its machines in China, the first step to penetrate and consolidate its position in the territory.
