The development of the......FIR started the production of induction electric motors for industrial use in the ‘60s and, in a short time, it became one of the reference builders in Italy in the area of special electric motors. The development of the activity let FIR be a gathering element for other companies and forms a group which, at present, has 4 companies distributed in 5 productive plants which completely cover the production process of the motor: from designing to electric winding, to mechanic working and to the final assembling. FIR group offers its customers design and production capacity oriented to the creation of products which are perfectly adapted to and optimized for the different applications. At present, FIR produces about 700 thousand special motors a year, distributed in a wide range of products for industrial applications, including electropumps, brake-clutch motors, ventilation systems, self-braking motors, explosion proof motors, permanent magnet brush-less motors with respective drive, inverted electric motor with external rotors, special electric machines up to 50 KW and reduction gears. The production of electric motors has also been accompanied by the design and production of electronic drivers for brush-less motors and inverters which have been expressly studied for special applications.
