GS Scaffalature Srl was set up in 1975 to manufacture metal structures for storing industrial goods. The name of the company is taken from the initials of the founding partners’ surnames, Grigolo and Scapin, who started their business with the help of just two workers. In 1989 the first 1000 square-metre manufacturing shed was opened, where they started to produce the first shelving using semi-automatic machines. By taking part in and displaying their products at trade fairs, GS Scaffalature started to get their name known not only in Italy but also abroad, thus growing both in terms of company organisation and products and services so as to provide their customers with solutions that are always new and competitive. In 1991 GS Scaffalature Srl became a company limited by shares and changed its name to GS Scaffalature Engineering SpA. Thorough study of the market and the needs of customers in different industries have led to re-engineering of production and the acquisition of new automated machines. GS Scaffalature today has 30,000 square metres of manufacturing sheds, 200 employees and 14 production lines with automated systems that work in continuous cycle.
