The company is located in Modena, a northern Italian town, very popular for high-tech mechanical parts, and it is still owned by Salamis family. Mr. Giuseppe Salami, the original owner, started the company in 1956 and since then it has been manufacturing directional control valves, external gear pumps and motors, components for remote controls (joysticks and cable controls). Our field applications comprise of a variety of mobile equipment such as fork lift trucks, farmer tractors and agricultural machines, self-propelled cranes and truck cranes, garbage trucks, earth moving machines etc. Since the very beginning Salami S.p.a. has focused its production on high performances and high quality standard products. Technical research and development have always been our main goal. This is our greatest value and this is what allows the continuity of our tradition. Salami’s strategy is based on studying market needs in order to develop the best solution for standard production. At the same time our Engineering personnel cooperates with our customer’s Technical Design and Purchasing departments to create customized products best suiting the final installation. Our creative product innovation and development is also underlined by the continuous collaboration with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia for the study of new materials All pumps, motors and valves are assembled and tested 100% internally by utilizing automatic machines and computerized testing benches. The quality system of Salami conforms to the standard quality system ISO 9001/2000. Quality is our main goal and in order to achieve this we continuously invest in human and technological resources. Thanks to all this, Salami S.p.a. is a long-time partner with the first Italian and foreign OEM, having purchased Salami products for over 50 years. Our commercial network consists of 4 branch locations, master distributors, resellers and agencies supporting customers all over the world. Since 1990 Salami S.p.a. has consistently increased its North America presence, allowing for a new branch to be opened in 2002 to support this growing market. Thanks to continuous investment, Salami S.p.a. has production lines characterized by up-to-date automatic machines which allow the internal manufacturing of pump bodies, gears, valve bodies and spools thereby ensuring consistent product quality.
