In 1992 Tecnofirma was the first Italian company to obtain the Quality System certification in the Plants and Machinery for Surface Treatment sector, in compliance with the UNI EN ISO 9001 standards. Tecnofirma has played a leading role in achieving major technological developments in both divisions: in 1965 it produced the first cleaning paste degreasing plant with water-based solution spraying, eliminating the use of solvents, today virtually banned from the market in 1970 it launched the first automatic powder painting line complete with pre-treatment using water-based detergents. Tecnofirma offers its customers standard machines as well as special systems. Some of the most important plant solutions are found precisely due to the specific requests of customers, answered by the companys technicians with customized studies. A specialized research department is today in the avant-garde in developing new technologies. In 1998-99, the first high pressure machines for deburring mechanical details were developed. Constant attention to what is happening in the sector in other countries has also allowed Tecnofirma to promote the first carbon dioxide washing plant, designed in the United States laboratories, at the 1999 trade fair in Parma. In the last few years, Tecnofirma has developed a policy of acquisitions and holdings in companies operating in the same field, which are today present on the market grouped in TT Tecnofirma Team S.p.A.
