The first production was addressed to three products: threading spindles, adjustable joints multi......The company O.M.G. was born in 60s as small "laboratory" specialised in the project and production of multispindle heads. The first production was addressed to three products: threading spindles, adjustable joints multispindle heads and variable axis heads. Following to the strong evolution in the manufacturing industry, the company O.M.G. grew up and developed, participating in the diffusion of new and innovative products with the capacity to reduce the production costs. The avant-garde technologies in the production processes and the use of new computerised techniques crystallise O.M.G. trademark: a consolidated imagine also in the exhibitions at which the company takes part annually in Italy and all around the world. The commercial Italian network is composed by many agents trained by O.M.G. and distributed on the territory in order to cover all national country. Thanks also to the support of a competent technical export dept. O.M.G. increased the foreign commercial network, reaching 30% of the total turnover with exports in Europe and all around the world especially in America and Asia. In January 1994 O.M.G. inaugurated the new factory always in the industrial area of Corte Tegge in Cavriago, Reggio Emilia, Italy. Buildings and plant on over 10.000 square mt, of which about 2.200 square mt covered by production depts and 800 square mt by offices with 30 employees. Thanks to more then ten-year experience both in administrative and project sector with bidimensional and threedimensional software, O.M.G. developed an office data processing which can serve in real time the administrative dept, the warehouse, the technical dept and the machine tool dept. In the production dept O.M.G. widen the test room and the boring room with an air-conditioning system in order to have a temperature of 20°C and a humidity of 55-60% all year. The production depts are as follows: Administrative office Production office Technical office Raw material and finished product warehouse Turning Milling Boring in air-conditioning room Assembly Static test in air-conditioning room Dynamic test with test tables The test tables are projected and produced to make running in and tests. The standard products are supplied with test certificate on which it is tested the duration (life), the noisiness, the temperature and the running. As regards the turret heads it is simulated a similar working of the machines on which they will be assembled. A skilled technical assistance dept is disposal for extraordinary maintenance interventions in short times especially for machines which can not permit long machine stop. O.M.G. created a network of external collaborators with which it has been collaborating since many years. During the years O.M.G. production has improved and widened and now it is the most complete range of multispindle heads in the market. And not only of multispindle heads. O.M.G. introduced new product lines as spindles speeders, angle heads, milling heads, turret heads. The production is also particularly addressed to special production in order to satisfy the exigencies of clients requiring personalised executions. The last new production in O.M.G. factory is the turret head line, disposal in 3 versions, confirming the capacity of the company to improve the high reliable tools for industrial working, offering the most versatile products. In order to give the company a precise and positive imagine in the year 2000, O.M.G. obtained ISO 9001 certification which will permit to satisfy better the exigencies of the clients.
