THE "PUMP CULTURE" THROUGH THE YEARS TO THE PRESENT. Pompetravaini was born in the distant past of 1929, through the entrepreneurship of its founder Carlo Travaini, father of the present President Engineer Mario Travaini. The beginning was typical of a company that produces goods for third parties. But in a short time, through a strong consistent organization, a state-of-the-art manufacturing shop (even for those days), a consolidated yet flexible production, as well as experience acquired with the successful fulfilment of numerous orders, automatically pushed the company into the national market with its own name. The continuous technological upgrading and the doubling of the production capabilities were only the logical results of the prestigious position that the company was achieving in the Italian industrial marketplace. It seemed however, that nothing was enough to appease the desire for expansion of Engineer Mario Travaini, who in the meantime had taken over direction of the Company. This therefore explains why in the early 1980s the campaign that ended with the conquest of international markets started, allowing Italian technology to be recognized in the European as well as in the overseas markets. Success was immediate. Consequently, those buildings that only a short while ago seemed so enormous, were not large enough to contain the wave of growing pains that the new commercial ventures had poured into the Castano Primo original site again. It became necessary to remedy the situation with the construction of a brand new site with an 8,000 square meter building. This was to be only the first of the many expansion initiatives that followed in the next decades. KEEPING PACE WITH THE TIMES. Business reorganization, besides keeping pace with modern technologies, requires new and improved commercial infrastructure. Besides offering first class technical support (which could not be otherwise), it can also furnish the necessary commercial feedback to a company that is under continuous development. If then we add that the American branch manufactures its own complex systems fitted with pumps built by the Italian parent company, it becomes evident that Pompetravaini has achieved the status of a real multinational. But it does not end here. Twenty exclusive distributors, spread over five continents, offer Pompetravaini products wherever there is an industry, great or small, that is in need of technologically advanced products, that are also both safe and reliable. In short, from nearby Spain to distant Australia, from Chile to Egypt, from Turkey to Poland rather than just in Singapore or Malaysia, England or South Africa, this company will continue to evolve and will not rest on its laurels. In fact, this is the new mandate that is meant to assure further growth, but this time, above all this time, in a tangible way. NEW DIMENSIONS Another new production building has now been built on a 25,000 square meter site allowing Pompetravaini of Castano Primo to conduct its manufacturing activities in a 12,500 square meter covered area employing the latest and most advanced technological processes. The size, the organization and the prestige that Pompetravaini can boast of today needs constant control however. A strict and impartial control through the help of the internal quality system certified by the standards of ISO 9001 will help the company to follow its undertaken path.
