The acquisition of two complementary businesses, Euro Powder Coatings and Crodalux, gave Becker access to proven technology and a customer focus on “applied cost” – this is the total cost of the coating process. Key factors are reduced waste and maximum utilisation of the powder coatings. Technology gained included the Ford Approved Matt Black Polyester as well as WOODGRAIN, the patented wood effect powder coating process. From the UK Becker Powder Coatings supplies coatings to Cyprus, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Nigeria, and the Middle Eas. In 2000 both businesses were combined into a single unit based in Speke, Liverpool.
