Ixthus Instrumentation was founded by Malcolm Read in 1997, the company specailsied in non contact position sensors with other sensor technologies being added along the way.Upon Malcolms well earned retirement in October......Ixthus Instrumentation was founded by Malcolm Read in 1997, the company specailsied in non contact position sensors with other sensor technologies being added along the way.Upon Malcolms well earned retirement in October 2003 the company was acquired by Variohm, to broaden its presence in the position transducer market.Under the guidance of John Tyrrell ( a seasoned sensor expert ) the company continued to grow and develop with the addition of Intelligent Weigh Controllers, Force and Torque Transducers.Incorporated on 18th April 2006 (Company Registration Number 05783452) Variohm Holdings brings together the interests formerly owned by Roy and Joan Moffatt into a cohesive group. This move is designed to bring greater efficiency and better customer service through the improved use of existing staff and facilities. The individual companies within the group will continue to act with great autonomy but will have access to shared expertise and resources.
