Company Introduction

Guangzhou Tinci Materials Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as Tinci Materials) was established in June 2000. The company primarily operates in two business segments: lithium-ion battery materials and daily chemical materials & specialty chemicals.

Since 2015, Tinci Materials has been a global leader in lithium-ion battery electrolyte sales, further solidifying its industry leadership. Its market share increased from 28.8% in 2021 to 34.7% in 2023. In 2021, the company’s lithium-ion battery electrolyte product won the National Manufacturing Industry Single Champion Product award.

With over a decade of deep focus on lithium battery electrolyte business, Tinci Materials leverages its strong basic chemical capabilities and process experience to seize opportunities in the lithium battery supply chain. The company has independently developed key electrolyte raw materials and additives, including liquid lithium hexafluorophosphate, LiFSI, VC, DTD, and lithium difluorophosphate. This has led to an integrated strategic layout focused on electrolyte raw materials. Following this integration strategy, the company has also developed products in areas such as cathode and precursor materials, positive and negative electrode binders, lithium battery adhesives, and battery material recycling. These business segments create strong synergies in platform R&D and circular economy, resulting in significant cost control effects. Additionally, the company’s battery material recycling business currently focuses on the recycling of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, achieving full element recovery of lithium, iron, phosphorus, fluorine, nickel, cobalt, and manganese from LFP batteries.

The company’s daily chemical materials include surfactants, silicone oils, water-soluble polymers, cationic conditioning agents, organosilicon and rubber additives, among other products. These products are used in various personal care items and household goods, providing innovative solutions in the field. Carbomer, ranks second in the industry with a production capacity of 5,000 tons, and the company is also the world’s largest producer of amphoteric surfactants.

Tinci Materials has 15 domestic production facilities, with the largest base located in Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province, which is also the world’s largest production base for liquid lithium hexafluorophosphate. The domestic production bases are strategically distributed along the Yangtze River, radiating across the country. In 2020, Tinci Materials began its international expansion, establishing subsidiaries in the United States, Germany, Morocco, and Singapore, and a laboratory in South Korea, accelerating its global footprint.
