Chinaust was established in 1987 as the first Sino-foreign joint venture in China specializing in the production of polyethylene (PE) piping systems. The Chinese shareholder is Lingyun Industrial Co., Ltd., a listed company under the North Lingyun Industrial Group Co., Ltd., China North Industries Group Corporation Limited, while the foreign shareholder is Georg Fischer, a Swiss multinational corporation with over 200 years of history.

Chinaust has pipe production bases in Hebei, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Shenzhen, Sichuan, and Shaanxi, and a production base for fittings, valves, and welding machines in Shanghai, with its headquarters located in Zhuozhou, Hebei.

Chinaust owns 46 extrusion production lines with international advanced technology, capable of producing polyethylene pipes ranging from 20mm to 1200mm in various specifications. Additionally, it has more than 50 world-class large-scale injection molding machines, wiring equipment, and over 300 types of molds, with a maximum annual production capacity of 300,000 tons.
