Henan Pinggao General Electric Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Pinggao General) is a national high-tech enterprise specializing in the R&D, production, and sales of distribution network electrical equipment. Pinggao General was established in 2011 with a total investment of 835 million yuan and covers an area of 313mu. It was registered in October 2015 with a registered capital of 669.79 million yuan. As of the end of 2022, total assets amounted to 3.065 billion yuan. Pinggao General's main industry is positioned as a domestic first-class medium and low-voltage distribution network equipment manufacturer, with complete product qualifications and wide performance coverage. Its main products include: 0.4kV-35kV switchgear, combined electrical appliances, circuit breakers, charging equipment, box-type substations, prefabricated cabins, ring main units, box-type switching stations, pole-mounted circuit breakers, distribution station categories (transformers, complete sets of equipment, JP cabinets, etc.), ZFN13-40.5 combined electrical appliances, solid-sealed pole columns, insulation parts, circuit breakers for switchgear, sheet metal cabinets and other core components; charging and swapping operation services and construction; power engineering general contracting, etc.
Henan Pinggao General Electric Co., Ltd. was originally named Pinggao General Electric Company and was formerly a branch of Pinggao Group. On August 4, 2011, the group carried out organizational structure adjustments through cancellation and merger, combining the original 12 subsidiary companies—medium-voltage circuit breaker factory, complete electrical appliance company, transformer company, tool and mold company, electrical control company, mechanism company, gas-liquid equipment company, mechanical power factory, stamping parts factory, structural parts factory, shell factory, and composite insulator factory—to form Pinggao General Electric Company.
In October 2011, the switchgear factory (original complete electrical company) and transformer factory (original transformer company) were established.
In December 2011, the electrical control company, mechanism company, stamping parts factory, structural parts factory, and shell factory—5 branches—were transferred to Pinggao Electric.
In December 2012, the composite insulator factory, gas-liquid equipment company, and tool and mold—3 factories—were transferred to Pinggao Electric, and the mechanical power factory was placed under the management of Pinggao Group Co., Ltd.
In October 2015, a subsidiary was registered, establishing Henan Pinggao General Electric Co., Ltd. with a registered capital of 300 million RMB, as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pinggao Group Co., Ltd.
In November 2016, after a private placement to Pinggao Electric, the registered capital was changed to 500 million RMB, becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary of Henan Pinggao Electric Co., Ltd.
In December 2020, the registered capital increased to 669.79 million yuan.
In June 2017, the transformer factory was transferred in its entirety to Pinggao Electric. At this point, Pinggao General retained 3 functional departments, 6 business departments, and 3 production branches: switchgear factory, medium-voltage circuit breaker factory, and insulation parts factory, with 533 employees.
Currently, Pinggao General has 3 functional departments, 6 business departments, and 4 production lines (factories). There are 533 existing employees, including 27 at middle management and above, 60 in management, 76 in marketing, 91 in technology, and 279 in skills. There are 14 with senior titles. 52 technicians and above.
Pinggao General has three world-class production workshops and one million-level clean room, with more than 1,000 sets of main processing and testing equipment, including more than 400 sets of various CNC equipment. It has world-class professional production lines such as CNC sheet metal processing, busbar CNC processing, insulation parts manufacturing, laser cutting and welding, and solid-sealed pouring, with process equipment reaching international advanced levels. It has 2 innovation studios: the National Machinery, Metallurgy, and Building Materials System Innovation Studio and the Pinggao Group Model Worker (Skilled Talent) Innovation Studio.
It holds 221 patents, including 78 invention patents. Pinggao General's independently developed 1800V DC circuit breaker, LW35B-40.5 high-voltage AC phase-controlled circuit breaker, and other products have reached international advanced levels. XGNH□-12 environmentally friendly gas ring main unit metal-enclosed switchgear, ZHW15-40.5 composite combined electrical appliances, ZFN13-40.5 combined electrical appliances, and other products have reached domestic leading levels. It has successfully developed the world's first set of 20Hz low-frequency switchgear, applied in demonstration projects such as Taizhou in Zhejiang and Zhangbei by Shandong Electric Power. The products have superior performance and are durable, highly favored by customers. In addition to meeting domestic power grid markets, power generation enterprises, rail transit, and other fields, they are also exported to overseas markets such as the Philippines, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, and Niger.
