It is one of the 156 key construction projects during china's "First Five-Year Plan" and the only enterprise in Southwest China with the capability to develop "fourth-generation" radars. It is also the only high-tech enterprise in Western China specializing in the research, development, production, and operation of military and civilian ground radar and other electronic system engineering products. The company is a major supplier of next-generation weather radars for both military and civilian use in China.
The company's products have been incorporated into numerous China's key engineering projects and have received over 90 awards, including national, ministerial, and provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards, Technical Innovation Awards, and Outstanding New Product Awards. It holds more than 120 valid invention and utility model patents. Its main products include phased array three-coordinate radars, two-coordinate guidance radars, height-finding radars ground-to-air guidance systems, and various types of weather radars, including phased array, dual-polarization full-coherent Doppler, full-coherent Doppler, intermediate-frequency coherent Doppler, and conventional digital systems, all of which are standardized, modularized, and serialized, reaching international advanced technical levels.
The ground intelligence radars developed and produced by the company are key combat equipment in China's early warning and surveillance radar network. Its weather radars are primary equipment for national and military disaster forecasting, military meteorology, aerospace support, resource monitoring, and scientific experiments. Since its establishment the company has developed and produced approximately 4,000 units/sets of guidance radars, height-finding radars, and military and civilian weather radars, with over 110 units/sets exported internationally.
