Shenzhen Water and Environment Group (SZWE) is a leading enterprise in China's ultra-large-scale urban water services, with operations spanning raw water supply, water supply and drainage, water environment treatment, and water-related solid waste management, forming a complete environmental water service industry chain. With technological innovation at its core, SZWE has developed a smart water system, with its independently developed "Shenshui Cloud Brain" digital twin platform integrating IoT, big data, and AI technologies to achieve intelligent management and control of 54 water plants, 23 wastewater treatment plants, and 117 pumping stations, improving operational efficiency by over 40%. The leakage rate of the water supply pipeline network has been reduced to an internationally leading level of 4.4%, saving 120 million tons of water annually and significantly reducing costs for chemicals, electricity, and labor. In the green and low-carbon sector, SZWE has built the nation's first 5G underground water purification plant and a "water-solar-storage" near-zero-carbon facility, pioneering a digital industrial park model built atop wastewater treatment plants. Its Shenshui Zhidan™ AOA technology reduces wastewater treatment costs by 15% and carbon emissions by 14.6%. Technologies such as water quality testing robots and pipeline ice slurry cleaning equipment are internationally leading.

SZWE is the only mainland Chinese company to join the Global Leading Water Utilities Alliance. In 2025, SZWE became the first Chinese water company to receive the Global Water Awards' "Pubilc Water Agency of the Year" and won the First Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award.
