CGN Energy International Holdings Co., Ltd. (referred to as "CGNEI") was officially established on November 21, 2017, as a secondary subsidiary of China General Nuclear Power Group. It is positioned as CGN's platform for the development and asset management of overseas clean energy industries and as an independent market entity.
Since its inception, CGNEI has deeply engaged in China's political and diplomatic strategies, actively promoting the high-quality development of the "Belt and Road" Initiative. Guided by its mission to "developing clean energy to benefit mankind," the company has consistently focused on international clean energy cooperation. After years of development, CGNEI currently manages clean energy operations across 18 countries, building a diversified green asset portfolio primarily consisting of gas-fired power generation, wind power, and solar power. It has established multiple overseas regional centers and business development platforms.
Globally, the company has initially formed a "One Horizontal, Two Vertical" development layout. The "One Horizontal" takes Malaysia as its foothold, extending "horizontally" to countries along the "Belt and Road," such as Laos, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and the United Arab Emirates. The "Two Verticals" take France and Brazil as footholds, expanding "vertically" into Europe, Africa, and the Americas, forming clean energy development corridors.
As of now, the company's total installed capacity under construction and in operation exceeds 13 million kilowatts, with over 11 million kilowatts in operation and nearly 2 million kilowatts under construction.
