WISDRI Steelmaking and Continuous Casting Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as "WISDRI SMCC") is a wholly-owned subsidiary of WISDRI Engineering & Research Co., Ltd., which is under China Metallurgical Group Corporation, a subsidiary of China Minmetals Corporation, one of the "Fortune Global 500" companies. It is the largest specialized engineering company in China focused on steelmaking and continuous casting. In 2022, it was selected as a National "Manufacturing Single Champion Demonstration Enterprise." The company currently has nearly 600 employees, with more than 45% holding master's degrees or above, and approximately 50% of technical staff holding senior engineer or higher professional titles.

Since the 1950s, the company has continuously led technological and equipment upgrades in the steel industry through key technology breakthroughs, productization practices, and industrialized applications. It successfully developed China's first domestically produced mechanical stirring hot metal desulfurization station, RH vacuum treatment unit, and ROKOP continuous casting machine; independently designed China's first 320-ton converter; and built China's largest quantum electric arc furnace, China's largest special steel square billet and heavy special-shaped billet continuous casting machine, and the square billet caster with the highest casting speed. These achievements have made important historical contributions to promoting independent control of high-end metallurgical equipment and the modernization of the steel industry. The company has consistently adhered to the core strategy of independent innovation, with a postdoctoral workstation and pilot and manufacturing bases. It has cumulatively received more than 70 national and provincial/ministerial-level science and technology awards, patent awards, and achievement appraisals, holds more than 580 valid national patents, and has led or participated in the formulation of more than 8 national, industry, and local standards.

Over the years, the company has provided in-depth services to hundreds of leading steel enterprises at home and abroad, completing the design, equipment supply, and EPC contracting for more than 300 large- and medium-sized steelmaking projects, and constructing more than 400 continuous casting production lines with over 2,000 strands of various types. Its technical strength and engineering quality have been highly recognized by the industry, earning more than 200 national and industry-level engineering honors such as the National Quality Project Award and National Outstanding Engineering Design Award, and gaining full recognition and widespread trust from all sectors of society and clients.
