Throughout the years the business has grown steadily in Middleton, Wisconsin, and in 2001 moved from a 3,000 sq ft suite to a 5,250 sq ft building and set up an in-house machine shop. 2003 saw a switch in CAD software to a solid modeling program. In 2004, with the staff now at 18 strong, Big Sky had out grown its quarters again and began the search for a new home. In 2005 the business purchased and remodeled a 23,500 square foot facility in Verona, Wisconsin. Our Products Big Sky equipment is accurate, durable, reliable and adaptable. All of our machines are built with future retooling in mind. We pick standard, off-the-shelf components whenever possible to simplify maintenance and eliminate machine downtime. If you can think of it, we can build it. This engineer will be the eyes and ears of your project for the following key phases: Phase 1: Engineering development Phase 2: Manufacturing Release Phase 3: Assembly and Debug Phase 4: Start-up at your facility Our commitment to quality begins at a projects inception and carries through long after a machines final acceptance. Services In addition to our sales and customer service department, we have a full service engineering department operating Autodesk Inventor Software, a complete machine shop and a full assembly and debug department to ensure all machines meet our rigorous quality standards for machine acceptance. In-House Capabilities Here at Big Sky Engineering we pride ourselves with the ability to provide a truly, complete package to our customers. We have in-house Project Management and Engineering, utilizing the latest Microsoft Office Products and our custom project oriented ERP and CAD systems. We also design, build, and program all of our own electrical panels and control systems. Our skilled assembly personnel provides in-house assembly, field installation, and service support on all equipment. We have (2) 3-axis CNC machining centers, (2) 2-axis CNC Mills, surface grinder, lathe, fully equipped weld shop, and part finishing systems.
