Bangladesh Power Development Board Substation Renovation Project Tender

Scope of Work: This project involves the renovation and expansion of the 33/11 KV Barbakund Substation located in Barbakunda, Chattogram, Bangladesh, under the jurisdiction of BPDB Sales & Distribution Division - Barbakund. Core works include: raising the plinths for two existing 16 MVA power transformers (TR-1, TR-2); installing one newly procured/designed and approved 33/11 KV 20/26 MVA power transformer; installing corresponding 33KV and 11KV circuit breakers; constructing new concrete plinths for power transformers, cable trenches, and portal frame foundations; demolishing the existing boundary wall within the substation.

Scope of Services: Includes civil construction, equipment installation, material supply (except for equipment specifically noted to be provided by the client), commissioning, and handover support for all the above-mentioned works. The contractor is responsible for site safety during construction, protection of existing facilities, and coordination with the substation's operational activities.

Material Specifications: Key equipment specifications involved are: two existing 16 MVA transformers (requiring plinth raising); one newly installed 33/11 KV, 20/26 MVA (ONAN/ONAF cooling type) power transformer; 33KV and 11KV class circuit breakers and associated auxiliary equipment. All civil works (plinths, cable trenches, portal frames) must comply with BPDB's design drawings and technical specifications.
