On July 10, reporters learned from the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) that the upgraded version of the "Lingyan" AG50 light-sport aircraft has secured its first order for two units, marking the official market entry of the improved AG50.

The "Lingyan" AG50 light-sport aircraft is a general aviation aircraft independently developed by AVIC's Special Vehicle Research Institute.

The upgraded AG50 upgrade features increased wing tank capacity, extending range from 650km to 1,200km, dramatically expanding operational reach. The integrated avionics system and whole-aircraft ballistic parachute configuration raise safety to a new level. Most notably, the upgraded "Lingyan" AG50 runs on ordinary 95# automotive gasoline, achieving an average fuel consumption of around 10L per 100km under normal cruise conditions — comparable to a family sedan — making "flying freedom for the masses" no longer just a dream.

The two upgraded "Lingyan" AG50 aircraft are scheduled for delivery by the end of this year to Jinan Low-Altitude Economy Development Co., Ltd., and are expected to shine in fields such as aerial sports, sightseeing tourism, agricultural & forestry operations, and flight training.
