U.S. Rapport 3000 Next-Generation Escort Tug First Vessel Saturn Delivered

Master Boat Builders, Inc. of Coden, Alabama, announced the successful delivery of the Saturn to Suderman & Young Towing Company, the first of a new series of four Rapport 3000 escort tugs.

"The Saturn embodies our continued commitment to Suderman & Young Towing Company and the highest shipbuilding standards," said Garrett Rice, President of Master Boat Builders. "We are honored to continue our long-term partnership with Suderman & Young Towing Company through the delivery of this vessel."

The builder stated that the Saturn continuously raises the performance standards for escort tugs. The vessel has a length of 98 feet, a beam of 43 feet, and a bollard pull of over 90 metric tons. It is powered by two engines with a total output of 7,000 horsepower, achieving a speed of approximately 13 knots.

The Saturn is designed to accommodate a crew of six, carries 44,342 gallons of fuel, and has a gross tonnage of less than 300 tons, providing operational flexibility for various harbor and escort missions.
