Today (21st), the world's first 41,800-ton dual-direction self-unloading ship, independently developed and built by China, was delivered in Jiangsu, marking a critical leap from "following" to "leading" in the field of high-end self-unloading transport vessels.

The world's first 41,800-ton dual-direction self-unloading ship delivered today has a total length of 215 meters, a beam of 42 meters, and a large cargo hold capacity of 29,000 cubic meters. It is equipped with a self-unloading system featuring two bottom reversible longitudinal conveyor belts, enabling flexible unloading on one or both sides as required by operations, with a total unloading capacity of up to 12,000 tons per hour.

Not only does it have the world's fastest unloading speed, but it is also the world's first self-unloading ship of the same tonnage class with dual-direction navigation capability.

According to reports, a total of five ships in this series of self-unloading vessels have been ordered, and they will be deployed in the waters off Guinea in West Africa to serve the Simandou iron ore project, providing key equipment support for stable iron ore production and transshipment.
