Recently, the first set of ZF69-126(Z)/T3150-40 environmentally friendly GIS products independently developed and manufactured by Xi'an XD Switchgear Electric Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China XD, successfully completed the entire process of installation, commissioning, and testing at the 110 kV Zhaoliu Substation of State Grid Shaanxi Electric Power Company's Yan'an Power Supply Company, and was successfully connected to the grid for energized operation.

GIS gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear, as core key equipment of high-voltage power transmission and transformation grids, is widely used in the core power distribution links of substations and is directly related to the safe, stable, efficient, and reliable operation of power grids. Traditional high-voltage GIS equipment mostly uses sulfur hexafluoride gas as the insulating medium, which has shortcomings such as a high greenhouse effect and significant environmental impact. In response to the national "dual carbon" strategic goals and to comply with the development trend of green, low-carbon, and intelligent power equipment, Xi'an XD Switchgear Electric Co., Ltd. has focused on the environmental upgrade needs of high-voltage power transmission and transformation equipment, overcome multiple core technical challenges, and independently developed 126 kV environmentally friendly GIS products.
This 126 kV environmentally friendly GIS product adopts a structure combining vacuum interrupters with clean air, achieving zero greenhouse gas emissions. At the same time, the product adopts a modular, integrated, and compact design with a reasonable structural layout and a small footprint. It offers advantages such as stable insulation performance, strong contamination resistance, convenient operation and maintenance, and a long service life, balancing safety and reliability, green low-carbon operation, and economic efficiency. All technical performance indicators have reached internationally leading levels.
By replacing sulfur hexafluoride gas with clean air, the product eliminates high-voltage switchgear's dependence on potent greenhouse gases at the source and avoids the leakage risks and regulatory costs of sulfur hexafluoride in the use, recovery, and disposal stages. It has formed a complete set of design, manufacturing, and testing process systems with independent intellectual property rights, providing technical support and equipment guarantees for meeting the demand for green power transmission and distribution equipment, promoting the low-carbon transformation of the power equipment industry, and helping achieve the "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" goals. The successful grid connection of the product marks a key leap by the company from technical development to engineering application in the field of 126 kV environmentally friendly switchgear.
