The semi-gantry crane is mainly for material loading, unloading and transfer in wall-side areas. It can fully utilize the wall-side areas of workshops, the edge of warehouse shelves or the side space of railway platforms, etc.
It has extremely strong site adaptability. There is no need for legs on both sides like a full gantry, which greatly saves site space. It only needs a ground track on one side, and the other side uses existing building structures (such as walls) or simple supports, which is very suitable for places with narrow passages and limited space.
Compared with a complete double girder gantry crane, it omits a whole set of lower end beams and rigid legs, and both equipment cost and foundation construction cost are significantly reduced.
