Mitsubishi J-Type Inclined Moving Walks offer ideal solutions for the needs of modern pedestrian traffic, in all types of commercial facilities from grocery stores to shopping malls.Upper End • Going up - The comb angle is designed to be 15° to the horizontal, to make it easier to push a shopping cart over the comb when landing. • Going down - The comb plate angle is designed to be 3° to the horizontal, to prevent a fully loaded shopping cart from running downwards when boarding. Lower End • Going up - The comb plate is designed to be 350mm (13.8 in.) long, to make it easier to push a shopping cart over the comb plate when boarding. • Going down - The minimal comb angle is designed to be 1.4° to the horizontal. This delivers an extra smooth landing experience when pushing a shopping cart over the comb. • Each comb is made of die-cast aluminum, rigidly fixed to improve strength and durability. • Each comb tooth is 3.2mm (1/8 in.) thick to provide sufficient strength so that the combs are more durable against repeated impact by shopping carts. • The stainless steel plate with anti-slip pattern, originally developed by Mitsubishi Electric for escalators, provides for safe and steady footing. • Die-cast aluminum provides greater durability. • Numerous 3mm (1/8 in.) deep, 5mm (1/5 in.) long notches on the pallet surface enhance anti-slip performance. • The long (approx. 410mm/16.1 in.) pallet reduces the sense of unsure footing that can occur with a short pallet at the curved portion immediately before landing or after boarding at the upper end. • Each pallet is fitted with resin bushings to reduce vibration and noise, and thereby improve riding comfort.
