Max travel(m)55 Speed (m/s)1.0 - 1.6 Capacity (kg)325 - 6000 Persons4 - 80 Max stops25 KONE set the industry standard once again by creating KONE MiniSpace™ – the elevator range with a very small machine room. It is ideal for all kinds of passenger and cargo transportation. Space-Saving Concept In the KONE MiniSpace concept the machine room is only an extension of the elevators shaft, which makes it very easy and cost-efficient to construct. The small machine room can be located above, beside or below the shaft, whichever is most convenient for the ship’s design. The compact KONE EcoDisc® leaves plenty of room inside the machine room. A wealth of benefits Compared with conventional elevators on the market, both KONE MonoSpace® and MiniSpace™ elevators powered by the KONE EcoDisc® hoisting machine provide: Reliable operation Improved ride comfort Reduced noise level Enhanced designs More efficient installation Space savings KONE MiniSpace™ elevator characteristics: Speed 1.0m/s maximum rated load 6 000 kg Speed 1.6m/s maximum rated load 3 200 kg Maximum lifting height 55 m In 1996, KONE took the technology lead in the elevator industry by developing the KONE EcoDisc® hoisting machine. KONE EcoDisc® is the core technology for all KONE gearless elevators. It employs a permanent magnet synchronous motor, frequency control, and low-friction gearless construction. The KONE EcoDisc® needs less starting current, consumes less power and needs no oil. Over the years KONE has constantly increased the application range of KONE EcoDisc® hoisting technology thanks to its energy and space efficiency, reliability and excellent ride comfort. Comparing the KONE EcoDisc® with typical conventional hydraulic and 2-speed traction elevators confirms clear advantages: Easy selection The KONE MonoSpace elevator offers a combination of cabs, entrances, signalization and finishes to help make a lasting impression. There are two design lines, KONE C7 series and C9 series, each with KONE FourSeasons variations. Mix & Match If you cannot find precisely the right combination of floors, walls and other components from our packaged design lines, you can choose any components from the range and mix and match them Minimal interference with the shipbuilding process is guaranteed as installation work is confined to the trunk. In fact, it accelerates building processes as the elevator can be used during construction of the ship. The absence of a machine room is not the only factor that speeds up the installation process of KONE MonoSpace elevators. Many other aspects of the MonoSpace contribute to more efficient and safer installation methods. Shorter construction times are a result of the unique modular design. A smooth and efficient installation process was an integral part of MonoSpace development. Scaffold-free installation using state-of-the-art tools means time-savings, safety, and flexibility. Moreover, KONE has developed the Plug-In concept that saves time during construction. It also minimizes disruption to other trades, as most of the work is performed inside the shaft. Excellent service around the globe The elevator, like all technical equipment, requires regular maintenance to keep it running nonstop. With dedicated maintenance personnel, the right maintenance program, and original spare parts, your elevators will retain their value year after year. Our maintenance programs emphasise preventive maintenance. KONE maintenance is always near you, wherever you build. Our global network of service specialists ensures that even the most complex technical challenge is resolved quickly and effectively. We provide tailored KONE Care™ maintenance packages to meet your specific needs. Our maintenance programs take into account the type, age, and usage of your equipment to maximise its reliability and safety and to minimise downtime and maintenance costs.
