Based on RFID and web- portal technologies, Palpool hires out high-grade plastic pallets for closed-loop systems. As each Palpool pallet can be identified and is traceable, an up-to-date overview of both costs and stock is always on hand in the Internet portal. Each pallet has two UHF transponders with ID numbers. Scanning by means of a handheld unit allows all pallets to be recorded together in a consistent way. Using GPS, the data then flow via the docking station directly into the Internet portal.
